About the Role
We are looking for a Robotics Firmware Engineer (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on embedded robotics systems, firmware development, intelligent automation, and autonomous technologies.
In this role, you will work with AI-generated outputs related to low-level programming, microcontrollers, robotics control systems, sensor integration, embedded Linux, communication protocols, and hardware-software interaction, helping improve how AI models understand and solve real-world firmware and robotics engineering challenges.
You will collaborate with global AI and engineering teams to assess the technical accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of AI-generated embedded robotics solutions. Your contributions will directly enhance AI systems used for robotics automation, intelligent machines, and edge-device applications.
Responsibilities
- Create deliverables addressing common requests within your professional domain, including firmware architectures, embedded robotics workflows, and hardware integration strategies
- Annotate and evaluate AI-generated responses related to robotics firmware and embedded systems engineering
- Review peer-developed deliverables to enhance AI research quality and consistency
- Diagnose and solve real-world firmware and embedded robotics challenges to improve AI reasoning capabilities
- Assess AI outputs for correctness, performance efficiency, hardware compatibility, and operational reliability
- Identify bugs, incorrect assumptions, inefficient implementations, or low-level system issues in AI-generated firmware solutions and provide structured feedback
- Contribute domain expertise to improve AI models focused on embedded systems, robotics firmware, and intelligent automation technologies

Requirements
- Background in Embedded Systems, Robotics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Strong understanding of firmware development, embedded systems, robotics hardware, and low-level programming concepts
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, or embedded programming workflows
- Familiarity with microcontrollers, RTOS, embedded Linux, and communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, or MQTT
- Experience with sensor integration, motor control systems, ROS (Robot Operating System), or robotics simulation tools is preferred
- Ability to critically evaluate embedded architectures, firmware workflows, and engineering solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
