The Opportunity:
We’re hiring a Senior Graphic Designer to own the visual design across email and paid media - the two channels that most directly drive measurable performance for Gardyn. Reporting to the Creative Director, you’ll set the standard for executional excellence, bridge creative and engineering workflows through AI-assisted tooling, and build the systems that make our team faster over time.
This is a craft-meets-systems role. You’ll ship beautiful, on-brand work at the pace performance marketing demands - and you’ll codify what you build into a programmatic design system that powers Claude Code-driven email generation, AI-assisted production, and a structured creative testing framework. You’ll partner closely with Lifecycle and Performance Marketing to translate performance data into the next round of creative bets.

What You’ll Do:
Email design ownership
- Own end-to-end email design - layout, typography, component architecture, and visual quality - across prospect, customer, and lifecycle programs.
- Build and maintain a modular email template library that supports rapid campaign production without sacrificing craft.
- Establish and document a design system structured for programmatic use.
- Ensure all email templates are accessible, responsive, and render correctly across major email clients.
Design system & Claude Code integration
- Define design tokens (color, spacing, typography, radius) and export them in a format consumable by Claude Code.
- Collaborate with the lifecycle team to integrate design tokens into automated email generation workflows.
- Act as the design stakeholder for AI-assisted production - review, refine, and quality-gate outputs before they ship.

Paid media creative strategy
- Design and produce creative assets for paid social, display, and search campaigns across key channels (Meta, Google, TikTok, and more).
- Develop campaign-level creative strategies - concept, messaging hierarchy, visual direction, and format variants.
- Partner with performance marketing to establish a structured creative testing framework (hooks, formats, CTAs).
- Analyze creative performance data and translate insights into iterative design decisions.
Craft, systems & team standards
- Maintain brand consistency and design quality across all channels and formats.
- Own file organization, naming conventions, and asset handoff processes.
- Contribute to design critiques and provide constructive feedback on work from other team members.
- Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks through systematization and tooling.
What We’re Looking For:
Required
- 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating email, digital marketing, and brand work.
- Demonstrated experience building or contributing to a design system (tokens, component libraries, documentation).
- Hands-on experience designing paid media creative with a working knowledge of performance metrics (CTR, ROAS, CVR).
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong understanding of HTML/CSS email development and cross-client rendering.
- You can adhere to tight deadlines, platform specs, and shifting briefs without dropping craft.
- You’re proactive, open to feedback, and energized by the intersection of creativity and performance
- You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- You have a Can-Do attitude.
- You are a highly independent worker who can stay on top of personal workload in a remote environment.

Preferred
- Experience with AI-assisted design tools or workflows (Claude Code, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, or similar).

The pay range for this role is $80,000 – $95,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and market alignment.
