We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced AWS Lambda Developer to support a remote government project. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS serverless technologies, cloud-native application development, and backend integrations within secure enterprise environments.
This role requires a candidate who can work independently, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop scalable cloud-based solutions while complying with government security and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda.
- Build and support cloud-native APIs and backend services.
- Integrate AWS services such as API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Develop event-driven architectures and automation workflows.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance Lambda performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams to implement scalable solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
- Ensure compliance with security and Public Trust project requirements.
- Document technical designs, workflows, and deployment procedures.

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS Lambda development.
- Experience with AWS cloud services including API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, DynamoDB, and SNS/SQS.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Node.js, or Java.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and serverless applications.
- Understanding of event-driven and microservices architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
