About the Role

The Director, Solutions Engineering is a strategic, client-facing role responsible for shaping customer-specific solution strategies that connect business objectives, technical requirements, Clearsense platform capabilities, services scope, delivery considerations, and pricing assumptions. This role partners closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, Client Operations, Delivery, and Leadership to support pursuit strategy, pre-sales discovery, executive communication, and solution positioning for prospective and existing clients.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales, Product, Marketing, Client Operations, Delivery, and Leadership to support opportunity strategy, solution positioning, pursuit planning, and internal alignment.
- Lead and support pre-sales discovery with prospects, clients, and internal stakeholders to understand business objectives, workflows, application landscapes, data needs, archival requirements, decision drivers, risks, and success criteria.
- Develop customer-specific solution scenarios that align Clearsense capabilities, services, scope, delivery assumptions, customer responsibilities, pricing inputs, and value narrative.
- Conduct customer research, application portfolio analysis, and strategic assessments to evaluate legacy environments, archival needs, retirement opportunities, and solution options.
- Translate customer goals, operational constraints, and technical realities into practical recommendations across Clearsense platform capabilities and service offerings.
- Create executive presentations, solution narratives, one-pagers, briefing materials, workshop content, workflow summaries, and other structured client-facing deliverables.
- Deliver product and solution presentations tailored to customer use cases, stakeholder priorities, and audience needs, including executive, operational, clinical, HIM, financial, and technical audiences.
- Support pricing and scope alignment by documenting assumptions, dependencies, delivery approach, exclusions, risks, customer responsibilities, and value drivers.
- Synthesize interviews, documentation, research, and AI-assisted analysis into clear findings, actionable recommendations, and professional client-facing materials.
- Capture product feedback, market signals, and customer needs in a structured way for review by Product and Leadership.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus eight or more years of related experience in healthcare technology, solutions engineering, solution consulting, product management, clinical informatics, healthcare operations, sales engineering, strategic consulting, or a comparable role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of healthcare technology environments, including EHRs, ancillary applications, operational systems, clinical workflows, data domains, and enterprise healthcare system landscapes.
- Experience supporting customer-facing solutioning, strategic assessments, pre-sales discovery, application portfolio analysis, rationalization support, archival strategy, or healthcare transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical, workflow, and product concepts into business value, customer-specific use cases, and commercially viable solution scenarios.
- Experience creating executive-level presentations, solution summaries, business requirements, workflow documentation, strategic recommendations, or other structured client-facing deliverables.
- Strong analytical, written, verbal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work across teams, and operate effectively with limited direction.
- Sound judgment in balancing customer needs, platform capabilities, delivery realities, scope boundaries, and commercial considerations.
Required Skills
- Experience with application rationalization, legacy system retirement, healthcare data archival, data migration, EHR transitions, or enterprise decommissioning initiatives.
- Working knowledge of healthcare data and interoperability artifacts such as HL7, CCDA, ADT, claims, labs, imaging, document content, and HIM-related workflows.
- Familiarity with designated record set concepts, HIM release-of-information workflows, clinical viewer use cases, operational reporting, or healthcare records retention needs.
- Experience working with Sales teams on pursuit strategy, proposal support, pricing assumptions, solution design, or executive client presentations.
- Comfortable using modern AI tools to accelerate research, synthesis, writing, and preparation while applying professional judgment, fact-checking, confidentiality standards, and accuracy controls.
