Remote Embedded Software Engineer
Job Description
Play a key role in supporting the development of payload software, external interfaces, and operating system deployments. Focus on deploying novel systems on Size/Weight/Power constrained computing hardware for space sensor payloads. Participate in all aspects of software design and development, starting with requirements generation and following through implementation, testing, deployment, and support. Leverage a core understanding of Linux fundamentals, fault-tolerant design, device interface implementation, and real-time operating systems. Be part of a team of driven pioneers relentlessly tackling challenging projects, delivering on the impossible, and making an impact on the future of space.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of payload software and external interfaces.
- Focus on operating system deployments for space sensor payloads.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements to support.
- Utilize knowledge of Linux fundamentals, fault-tolerant design, and real-time operating systems.
- Collaborate with a team dedicated to innovative solutions in space technology.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
- Experience with RTOS, system deployment, testing, and interfaces.
- At least 5 years of professional full-time software engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience using C/C++ in production-level coding.
- Strong Python scripting skills, with a proficiency level of at least 8 out of 10.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $67.31 - $85.00/hr.
