Systems Administrator - Hybrid Cloud and On-Premises Environments

2. About the Opportunity:

The Systems Administratorrole is responsible for supporting and maintaining a hybrid infrastructure that includes AWS cloud services, virtualized systems, and SolarWinds deployment infrastructure. This position ensures the secure and reliable operation of systems through proactive maintenance, monitoring, and issue resolution. The role is critical to sustaining infrastructure stability and performance, supporting business operations by managing day-to-day IT system activities.

3. Responsibilities:

• Administer and support AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, and IAM

• Provision, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud-based systems

• Administer VMware, Hyper-V, or similar virtual environments

• Manage Windows and Linux servers, including patching and system health checks

• Support and maintain SolarWinds deployment infrastructure components

• Perform installations, upgrades, patching, and routine maintenance

• Monitor infrastructure health and respond to alerts and incidents

• Troubleshoot issues across cloud, server, and monitoring platforms

• Maintain system access, backups, and operational stability

• Document configurations, procedures, and support activities

• Participate in on-call rotation and scheduled after-hours maintenance

4. Requirements:

• 3–6+ years of systems administration or infrastructure support experience

• Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, etc.)

• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V

• Experience supporting SolarWinds infrastructure in an operational setting

• Strong Windows Server and/or Linux administration skills

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, firewalls)

• Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond effectively to operational issues

Preferred:

• AWS certification (SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect)

• Experience with backup and disaster recovery processes

• Familiarity with SQL Server or other database systems used in infrastructure

• Experience in hybrid cloud and on-premises environments

• Exposure to automation or configuration management tools

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Base salary range: $80,000-90,000 annually

• This role is fully remote
