2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will join a small Infrastructure Engineering team responsible for developing a sustainable, reliable, and scalable platform. This role is critical in designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP, focusing on performance optimization and system reliability. The engineer will collaborate with service teams to automate processes, improve developer workflows, and enhance infrastructure resilience. The position emphasizes using AI-augmented workflows and domain expertise in cloud architecture and site reliability engineering (SRE) principles to support growth-stage reliability. Experience in software engineering languages like Java, Python, or TypeScript is valued to foster collaboration and tool development across the engineering organization. This is a remote role requiring at least five years of cloud infrastructure experience.
3. Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with service engineering teams to design and maintain scalable, resilient infrastructure optimizing performance, reliability, and cost
• Ensure infrastructure meets business needs and industry standards
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform
• Apply SRE principles to enhance system reliability and reduce downtime
• Improve developer workflows by creating self-service tools and optimizing CI/CD pipelines
• Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue resolution
• Lead incident response efforts, manage on-call rotations, and conduct post-incident reviews
• Promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automate testing, monitoring, and deployment pipelines

4. Requirements:
• Proven experience building, scaling, and monitoring cloud infrastructure on AWS, including EKS, S3, RDS, API Gateway, Load Balancers, VPC, Lambdas, DocumentDB, and DynamoDB
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure management
• Expertise in containerized applications, Kubernetes, and microservice deployments
• Strong knowledge of GitHub Actions and CI/CD best practices
• Experience designing CI/CD workflows, building internal developer tools, and creating self-service solutions
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools; experience with Datadog is a plus
• Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, capable of clearly conveying technical concepts
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or TypeScript
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Tier A (NYC/SF/Seattle): $172,000 - $212,000 USD

4. Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree
• Experience with Quality Management Systems preferred
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining QA/QC programs
• Cannabis industry experience preferred; familiarity with consumer packaged goods (CPG) a plus
• Strong oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
• Results-driven and task-oriented
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent project management, communication, and presentation skills, capable of interacting confidently with senior management
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The pay range for this role is $85,000 to $120,000 plus equity. Final compensation depends on experience, level, and location. The top of the range will be paid only in exceptional circumstances for candidates exceeding position requirements.
