Role OverviewCanopy Management is seeking a Meta & Google Ads Strategy Manager to own paid media strategy and performance for a portfolio of ecommerce and Shopify brands. This person will lead Meta (Facebook/Instagram) as the primary growth channel, while leveraging Google (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube, Display) as a powerful supporting channel where appropriate. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing full‑funnel acquisition and retention strategies, driving profitable growth, and acting as a strategic partner to our brand clients and internal teams.
You will be hands‑on in the accounts while also stepping back to think strategically about budgets, channel mix, creative testing, landing page experience (including Shopify storefronts), and overall acquisition economics.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead Meta‑first paid media strategies for ecommerce and Shopify brands, using Google as a complementary channel to achieve revenue, ROAS, and profitability targets.
- Build, manage, and optimize campaigns in Meta Ads Manager (prospecting, retargeting, retention) and Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube, Display).
- Own media planning and forecasting: budgets, pacing, scenario modeling, and spend allocation across channels, audiences, and funnel stages.
- Analyze performance daily/weekly; identify trends, diagnose issues, and drive continuous optimization across bids, audiences, keywords, placements, creative, and landing pages.
- Partner closely with creative, CRO, and Shopify/DTC teams to develop and test new ad concepts, offers, funnels, and onsite experiences based on data‑backed hypotheses.
- Implement structured testing roadmaps (A/B tests on creative, audiences, bidding strategies, and funnels) and clearly communicate learnings, insights, and next steps.
- Build clear, insightful performance reports and present findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders on a regular cadence.
- Ensure proper tracking, attribution, and measurement across Meta, Google, and Shopify (pixels, tags, UTMs, conversion events, server‑side tracking where applicable).
- Stay current on platform updates, beta features, and best practices for Meta and Google and proactively bring ideas to clients and the wider Canopy team.
- Support new business and account growth through strategic audits, opportunity analyses, and media plans for prospects and existing clients, with an emphasis on ecommerce and Shopify growth.

- 4+ years of hands‑on experience managing Meta Ads and Google Ads for ecommerce brands, with Meta as a primary growth channel; agency experience strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of profitably scaling campaigns while hitting ROAS/CPA and contribution margin targets.
- Direct experience working with Shopify brands, including aligning campaigns to Shopify storefronts, product catalogs, and onsite conversion journeys.
- Deep understanding of performance marketing fundamentals: attribution, LTV, incrementality, full‑funnel strategy, and unit economics for ecommerce.
- Advanced proficiency with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics (GA4), and common reporting/visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, spreadsheets).
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable in spreadsheets, cohort analysis, and building clear narratives from complex data.
- Experience with creative testing and collaborating with designers/copywriters on performance‑driven concepts for Meta and Google.
- Excellent client‑facing communication skills: able to explain complex performance insights and trade‑offs in clear, actionable terms.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast‑moving, fully remote environment.
- Bonus: experience with Amazon Ads, TikTok, or other performance channels; experience with both DTC and marketplace brands.
