Job Description


COMPANY DESCRIPTION


Zonitel Solutions is an established telecommunications company based in the United States, with operations in Miami and Houston. We have over 5 years in the market and more than 800 active customers paying monthly.


Our platform combines VoIP phone systems, business messaging, SMS marketing campaigns, call transcription, conversation analytics, and AI applied to communications.


We are not a startup chasing capital. We are a profitable company with our own engineering team, in-house technical support, and a 99% customer retention rate.


Our target market is small and medium-sized businesses in the United States, including medical clinics, law firms, dental practices, accounting firms, restaurants, and commercial offices.


We have grown organically for 5 years. The time has come to professionalize and scale our sales engine. For that, we need a Sales Director to build it and lead it.


ABOUT THE POSITION


We are looking for a Sales Director / Sales Operations Manager with proven experience in B2B companies, preferably in telecommunications, business software, VoIP, contact centers, SaaS, CPaaS, or related industries.


This person must have experience leading sales teams that serve the U.S. market.


This is not a purely strategic position. It is an operational, hands-on, phone-based role. You will coordinate the team, prospect by phone yourself, participate directly in sales, and help build the sales process from scratch.


If you are looking for a desk job without customer contact, this role is not a fit.


LOCATION


100% Remote - Open to candidates located anywhere in Latin America



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


SALES TEAM LEADERSHIP AND COORDINATION


• Coordinate the current sales team, including 2 representatives in Miami and Houston, as well as upcoming hires such as prospectors and digital marketing support.


• Run daily stand-up meetings with the sales reps.


• Define, monitor, and enforce minimum activity and production standards.


• Detect underperformance, issue formal warnings, and design 30-day improvement plans.


• Manage the sales team day-to-day. Final separation decisions are consulted with the partners.


ACTIVE PROSPECTING AND SALES


• Conduct direct telephone prospecting to potential customers in the United States.


• Make cold calls in English and Spanish.


• Qualify leads before passing them to the field sales team.


• Close remote sales when the customer does not require an on-site visit.


• Support sales reps on complex demos or larger accounts.


SALES PROCESS CONSTRUCTION


• Implement and manage HubSpot CRM as the single source of truth for the pipeline.


• Document the sales process, including stages, advancement criteria, templates, and scripts.


• Build weekly and monthly reports with key metrics such as activity, conversion, sales cycle, win rate, and loss reasons.


• Design call scripts, email templates, and proposal templates.


GROWTH INITIATIVES


• Launch and manage a formal referral program with the existing 800+ customer base.


• Design and execute cross-sell campaigns for new modules, including AI and call analytics, to existing customers.


• Propose growth initiatives and validate them with the partners before execution.


REPORTING AND COMMUNICATION


• Report weekly to the 3 founding partners with metrics, identified problems, and improvement proposals.


• Maintain full visibility over the pipeline and monthly forecast.


• Communicate fluently with customers in English and Spanish.


REQUIRED PROFILE


• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in sales operations, sales team coordination, or similar leadership roles.


• Verifiable experience in telecommunications, VoIP, business software, contact centers, or a closely related industry.


• Prior experience serving or selling to U.S. customers is mandatory.


• Advanced or native English is mandatory. You must be able to make cold calls, run demos, and close deals in English with U.S. customers.


• Native or advanced Spanish.


• Advanced proficiency with HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, or similar CRMs.


• Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills for building reports.


• Experience designing sales processes, KPIs, and team metrics.


DESIRABLE PROFILE


• Previous experience with SaaS or CPaaS companies.


• Experience working with geographically distributed sales teams.


• Technical knowledge of VoIP, networking, or IP telephony.


• Experience in small-to-medium companies where the role is hands-on and direct, not only managerial.

• Ability to demand results from experienced sales reps without losing the relationship.

COMPENSATION DETAILS


FIXED COMPONENT


• USD 1,200 fixed monthly base, paid against invoice.


• Paid on the last business day of each month via international transfer, such as Wise, Payoneer, or equivalent.


VARIABLE COMPONENT - PERSONAL SALES


• 100% of the first 3 months of any customer's billing for deals you close personally over the phone, distributed across 3 monthly payments.


• Example: if you close a $100/month customer, you earn $100 total in commissions, paid as $33 over 3 months.


• 20% of the first 3 months of any customer's billing for deals you prospected and that were closed by U.S. field reps, distributed across 3 monthly payments.


• Example: if you prospect a customer that a U.S. rep closes for $100/month, you earn $20 total, paid as $6.66 over 3 months.


MONTHLY BONUS BASED ON TOTAL TEAM PERFORMANCE


• Less than 20 sales: No bonus.


• 20 to 29 sales: USD 300 monthly bonus.


• 30 to 39 sales: USD 600 monthly bonus.


• 40 or more sales: USD 1,000 monthly bonus.


EXPECTED TOTAL MONTHLY INCOME


• Coordination only, team below 20 sales: USD 1,200.


• Coordination + 5 personal sales + team at 30 sales: USD 2,300.


• Coordination + 10 personal sales + 10 prospected closes + team at 40 sales: USD 3,400.


• Top performer: 15 personal sales + 20 prospected sales + team at 50+ sales: USD 4,100+.
