Position overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Cybersecurity expert to join our fully remote team on a freelance/contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, particularly in remote work environments, and will be adept at using a variety of tools and platforms – with a special focus on Google Workspace cybersecurity measures.
Key responsibilities
Security audits
- Conduct regular security reviews and audits to identify and mitigate risk.
Consulting and advisory
- Stay updated and consult our team on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices, with a specific focus on securing remote work environments and ensuring all remote operations are conducted safely across internal and external departments.
- Consult and advise on existing and additional technologies based on our specific needs.
- Provide guidance and expertise to the business to promote best practices.
Process improvement
- Analyze and refine our current processes to improve efficiency and security.
- Contribute and develop cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures.
Client interaction
- Represent our agency in technical discussions with clients' IT teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cybersecurity, particularly in remote work environments.
- Expertise in Google Workspace security and infrastructure.
- Excellent written and spoken command of the English language.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead written and video communications confidently (in English).
- Self-motivated with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fully remote setting, as well as ability to integrating seamlessly in a team.
- Ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Located within GMT to GMT+5 time zones (preferred).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience providing cybersecurity services to translation or language service providers.
- A passion for outdoor sports and activities (major bonus points 🏄♀️).
