Job Description

Computer Vision Engineer | Machine Learning Engineer | Real-World AI Systems

Location: Queensland, fully remote, Australia

We’re partnering with an engineering-led company building fully automated, real-world systems powered by robotics and computer vision - and they’re looking for a Computer Vision Engineer to join the team.

This is not theoretical AI or SaaS dashboards - you’ll be working on computer vision deployed directly onto hardware, where your models drive real-world decisions in live production environments.

Core responsibilities:

- Build and deploy computer vision models for autonomous robotics

– Develop perception systems for inspection and real-time decision making

– Work with challenging, non-standard datasets (multi-spectral / noisy environments)

– Integrate models into edge systems operating 24/7

– Collaborate closely with robotics and engineering teams

Experience required:

-Strong experience in computer vision / deep learning (PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV)

– Experience deploying models into real-world / production environments

– Exposure to robotics, edge systems, or hardware-integrated ML

– Ability to work across model development, optimisation, and deployment

Opportunity:

Real hardware, real feedback loops

– High ownership and autonomy

– Complex, meaningful problems to solve

– Engineering-led culture with fast iteration cycles
