We are seeking a motivated and curious AI/ML Software Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are early in their careers, currently studying, or returning to the workforce, and are keen to build practical experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
This is a part-time, fully remote role, requiring availability 5 days per week (4 hours per day).
About the Role
As an AI/ML Software Engineer, you will work closely with experienced engineers and practitioners to support the development and delivery of AI-driven solutions. This role is designed to provide hands-on learning, mentorship, and real-world exposure to modern AI/ML and cloud-based technologies.

What You'll Work On
- Support the development and enhancement of AI/ML solutions.
- Assist with data processing, model experimentation, and testing activities.
- Contribute to cloud-based deployments and basic automation tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and improve system performance.
- Participate in learning and development activities to build technical capability.
- Deploy Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI solutions.
- Fine Tune and Train Large Language Model (LLM) applications.
- Support Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) platforms.
- Test AI-powered business automation solutions.
- Deploy and support Cloud-native applications on Azure and AWS.
- Demonstrate AI governance and compliance initiatives to clients.

Key Requirements
- Australian Citizenship (mandatory)
- Must hold or be willing to obtain AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance (www.agsva.gov.au/applicants/assessment-process)
Technical Expectations (Foundational Level)
- Applicants should be comfortable writing basic scripts, working with functions and data structures, and using development tools such as Git.
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts (Azure or AWS preferred).
- Exposure to or strong interest in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
