Senior DevOps Data Engineer

** This role is based in Abu Dhabi / Dubai, UAE. Applicants outside Abu Dhabi /Dubai must be open to relocation. Client will pay for the full family relocation.

A rare opportunity to take ownership of real-time data infrastructure at scale. We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Data Engineer to design, build, and operate high-performance, event-driven systems that power mission-critical financial services.

You’ll work at the intersection of data engineering and platform reliability, shaping resilient pipelines, optimising streaming architectures, and ensuring systems run seamlessly under real-world demand.

This organisation is building a next-generation, cloud-native financial platform within a rapidly evolving international market. Designed as an API-first ecosystem, its technology enables seamless, intelligent, and scalable financial products used by a growing global customer base.

At the core of the platform is a sophisticated data and event streaming architecture that powers real-time payments, analytics, and decision-making. The environment is fast-moving, engineering-led, and focused on solving complex infrastructure challenges at scale.

What we are hiring

You’ll work across DevOps, data engineering, and distributed systems, owning the event streaming and data infrastructure layer end to end.

• 5–10+ years in DevOps, data infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and distributed, event-driven systems.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid scripting skills and experience with monitoring, observability, and real-time data pipelines.
