Support Engineer - Banking Industry

Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Support Engineer to fill an open position with one of our clients in the banking industry. This fully remote, third‑shift role is responsible for monitoring and supporting enterprise production environments across mainframe and open systems platforms. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring production schedules run smoothly, incidents are resolved quickly, and SLAs are consistently met. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a 24×7 operational environment and enjoys troubleshooting, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

**THIS IS A 3RD SHIFT POSITION, MONDAY-FRIDAY: NIGHTS (MIDNIGHT - 8AM), ROTATING WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS**

A Little About This Gig

• Monitor, support, and troubleshoot production schedules and workflows across mainframe, open systems, and server backup environments
• Triage and resolve operating issues, escalating as needed to minimize downtime and meet service level commitments
• Follow and enhance standard operating procedures, checklists, and turnover logs to support audit and compliance requirements

• Partner with users, programming groups, and senior staff to resolve issues, analyze recurring problems, and improve operational efficiency

The Ideal Candidate

• Undergraduate degree in a related field or 1–3 years of equivalent hands-on experience
• Experience monitoring and supporting production schedules or batch processing environments
• Working knowledge of automated scheduling tools, preferably IBM Tivoli or similar platforms
• Familiarity with backup software such as TSM or comparable solutions
