Senior Scala Developer

For one of our European clients, we are currently looking for a Scala Developer.

Details:

• Start date: ASAP
• Duration: 6 months with extension
• Work model: Fully remote from Slovakia or Czech Republic

Scope:

• Implementation and automation of internal systems
• Automation of Billing & Provisioning processes

• Handling service-related activities:
• Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services in Scala
• Improving system scalability, performance, and reliability
• Working within distributed systems environment
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Supporting CI/CD processes and production deployments

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Scala
• Experience with Play Framework (Pekko-based)
• Solid understanding of SQL (optimization, indexing, query profiling)
• Experience with MySQL and Redis
• Hands-on experience with AWS services

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with Play / Pekko ecosystem
