Full Stack Software Engineer with Mobile Experience

We are looking for a full stack software engineer with strong mobile experience to take ownership of our mobile applications and product software.

In this role, you will work closely with the founding team to build and scale the mobile experience that powers Curio’s products. You will own the end-to-end mobile stack, including architecture, development, performance, and iteration.

You will develop and maintain high-quality mobile apps, make key technical decisions, and collaborate with AI, hardware, and design teams to deliver cohesive product experiences. You’ll also contribute to backend systems, rapidly prototype new features, and ensure reliability and scalability.

This role requires strong ownership, product intuition, and the ability to move quickly in an early-stage environment.

• Location: Woodside, CA
• Work Model: Onsite 4 days per week at HQ for Bay Area–based employees. For candidates based outside the Bay Area, onsite 1-2 weeks per month.

• 3–8+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong experience building and shipping mobile applications (iOS, Android, or cross-platform)
• Strong TypeScript experience in production environments
• Experience building consumer-facing products
• Strong product intuition and ability to collaborate closely with design
• Deep experience building user-facing applications (React Native, React, Next.js, Expo, or similar)
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, state management, and performance optimization
• Ability to own features end-to-end, from frontend implementation through backend integration
• Solid understanding of backend systems and APIs
• Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), including writing SQL queries and basic schema design

• Experience working in fast-paced startup environments
• Experience integrating hardware and software systems
• Experience building AI-enabled products
• Experience developing AI tools and agent-driven workflows to improve development speed and iteration
• Experience building responsive, real-time user experiences powered by live data
• Experience with reactive messaging queue system (such as NATS or kafka)
• Experience building products for families or children

Salary: 

• Mid-level experience: $180k-$230k + Equity
• Senior-level experience: $230k - $300k + Equity
