Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're a small, client-focused web agency looking for a Junior Level Web Developer to work remotely. This is a hands-on, collaborative role — you'll be embedded in real client work from day one, contributing across a wide range of projects and technologies.
Our stack is centered around WordPress and Webflow client sites, and we're increasingly integrating AI-assisted development into our workflow. The right person doesn't need to know everything, but they do need to be the kind of developer who works with caution and can troubleshoot things efficiently — someone who stays calm when things break, knows how to research solutions, and communicates clearly along the way.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
- Building, maintaining, and troubleshooting WordPress sites across a diverse client portfolio.
- Supporting and developing features for large-scale Webflow client projects
- Working within various CMS platforms as needed
- Collaborating on AI-assisted development workflows using tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar to accelerate delivery
- Handling version control and managing code through Git-based workflows/deployments
- Communicating directly with clients when needed, providing clear updates, and gathering requirements.
- Organization is key, and being detail-oriented is probably one of the best qualities a candidate could have.
- Participating in QA, debugging, and problem-solving across the full stack
CORE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
CMS & Front-End Development
- Proficient in WordPress — themes, plugins, custom post types, hooks, and some page builders (Elementor, ACF, Divi, Beaver Builder, etc.) *Experience with Beaver Builder and advanced component building for that page builder would be amazing.
- Hands-on experience with Webflow, including CMS collections, interactions, and custom code integration. Webflow Cloud experience is a huge plus
- Comfortable with HTML, CSS (including Flexbox/Grid), and JavaScript in real production environments. Normal front-end concepts and conventions.
- Familiarity with other CMS platforms (Shopify, Squarespace, Contentful, etc.) is a plus

Full Stack & Technical Foundation
- Experience with PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript, and at least one back-end language or framework
- Comfortable working with REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations
- Solid understanding of version control using Git — branching, pull requests, and collaborative workflows
- Ability to set up and manage basic hosting environments (cPanel, WP Engine, Cloudflare, DNS, etc.)
AI-Assisted Development
- Foundational understanding of how to work effectively with LLMs and AI coding tools (Copilot, Claude Code, ChatGPT, etc.)
- Able to critically evaluate AI-generated code — you know what to use, what to fix, and what to throw away
- Comfortable iterating on AI suggestions rather than treating them as final outputs
- Familiarity with Git worktrees as they relate to multi-agent coding
WHAT WE'RE REALLY LOOKING FOR
Skills matter, but so does how you work. More than anything, we're looking for someone who:
- Troubleshoots confidently — you're not thrown off by unfamiliar tools or unexpected bugs
- Stays organized — you manage your time, tasks, and code without things slipping through the cracks
- Pays attention to detail — quality work matters, and you take pride in delivering it
- Communicates clearly — with the team and with clients, in writing and on calls
- Asks good questions — you know when to figure something out on your own and when to loop someone in
- Is self-directed — you don't need someone looking over your shoulder to stay productive

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary Range: $50k - $70k based on experience
- 401(k) with 6% employer match
- Health coverage: Not currently offered
- Equipment: Company-provided laptop and peripherals
- Remote: This is a fully remote position operating within core business hours, but could require occasional after-hours time as needed.
