Senior Environmental Test Engineer

We are delighted to be partnered with a New Space venture in the UAE that are on a mission to simplify space access. Through their partnership with their US based parent company, they will be the first UAE based company to mass-manufacture, and mass-produce satellites.

Our partner are looking for a (mechanical focussed) Senior Environmental Test Engineer to join their team.

The role:

• Assess test feasibility during early program phases.
• Develop and maintain both short-term and long-term environmental test plans.
• Create and update SOPs and process documentation for test equipment operations.

• Manage readiness, calibration, and maintenance of test facilities and equipment, including vibration tables, TVAC chambers, thermal systems, and EMC/EMI setups.
• Prepare hardware, instrumentation, facility configurations, and DAQ systems ahead of test campaigns.
• Lead the execution of Vibration, Thermal, TVAC, and EMC/EMI tests.
• Supervise test technicians, ensuring adherence to procedures and configuration control.
• Analyze test data and produce qualification and acceptance reports.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Assembly, Integration & Test teams, QA, and external vendors on environmental test matters.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience in satellite environmental testing, including Vibration, TVAC, Thermal, and EMC/EMI.
• Ability to perform feasibility assessments and develop long-term test plans.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation, DAQ systems, and test setups.
• Proven ability to produce SOPs, process documentation, and procedural guidance.
• Familiarity with relevant test standards (e.g., GEVS, MIL-STD-1540, ECSS).

This role will require relocation (paid for) to the UAE, and offers an excellent overall compensation and benefits package.
