Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with solid experience in industrial automation, motivated and problem-solving oriented, to join our team. The candidate will work on B&R PLCs, developing software according to the IEC 61131-3 standard, within real-time control systems for automation and machine design applications. We are looking for a senior, autonomous, and structured profile, capable of actively contributing to technical decisions, software architecture definition, and the continuous improvement of developed solutions.

What your tasks will be

• Develop and maintain software for B&R PLCs, using languages compliant with the IEC 61131-3 standard (primarily Structured Text).


• Design and implement control logic for automation systems in a real-time environment.


• Collaborate on machine design, translating functional requirements into software architectures.


• Analyze and interpret electrical and pneumatic diagrams to correctly integrate automation solutions.


• Support the commissioning phase and provide advanced technical support to customer care.


• Manage software versioning through Git, contributing to maintaining high code quality standards.

What we are looking for

• At least 5 years of experience in the industrial automation sector or similar roles, with direct technical responsibilities.


• Proven experience in B&R PLC programming.


• In-depth knowledge of the IEC 61131-3 standard and proven experience in Structured Text (ST).


• Understanding of real-time system principles and issues related to determinism, scan cycles, and resource management.


• Experience in software design for automatic machines or industrial plants.


• Experience in IT/OT integration (SQL databases, MES/ERP, structured logging, TCP/IP communications).


• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.


• Familiarity with Git version control systems.


• Fluent knowledge of the English language.


• Degree in Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.


• Experience with Agile organizational methodologies.
