Reporting To: Project Director / Business Head

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manager – S&T (Signalling & Telecommunication) to lead the planning, execution, and commissioning of railway signalling and telecom systems for infrastructure projects. The role requires strong technical expertise in railway S&T systems, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with railway standards, safety, and quality requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

    • Plan, execute, and monitor Signalling & Telecommunication (S&T) works for railway infrastructure projects.
    • Develop detailed project execution plans, schedules, and budgets for S&T activities.
    • Coordinate with civil, electrical, traction, and track teams for seamless project execution.
    • Ensure installation, testing, and commissioning of signalling systems, telecom networks, interlocking systems, and related equipment.
    • Monitor project progress using defined KPIs and reporting mechanisms.
    • Ensure all S&T works comply with Indian Railways / Metro Rail standards, safety norms, and quality requirements.
    • Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
    • Manage project documentation including technical reports, progress reports, and compliance records.
    • Supervise contractors, vendors, and site teams to ensure quality execution and adherence to timelines.
    • Conduct regular site inspections, coordination meetings, and client interactions.
    • Ensure timely billing, cost tracking, and resource optimization for S&T project activities.
    • Support project leadership in client coordination, audits, and regulatory approvals.
Qualifications

Preferred Candidate Profile

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) / Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) / Telecommunication Engineering or related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in railway/metro Signalling & Telecommunication project execution.
    • Experience in EPC railway projects will be preferred.
    • Certification such as PMP / PRINCE2 is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies

    • Knowledge of Railway Signalling Systems (EI, RRI, PI, Axle Counters, Track Circuits, etc.)
    • Experience in Telecom systems such as OFC, PA systems, CCTV, networking, and control communication
    • Project planning and scheduling (MS Project / Primavera)
    • Budget management and cost control
    • Knowledge of Indian Railways S&T standards and specifications
    • Stakeholder communication and coordination skills
    • Team leadership and vendor management
    • Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
