Status: 9-Month Contract (possibly extended)

Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: 100% Remote (must reside in Oregon and report onsite 2 times annually)

Salary: $50-$60/hr

Business Analyst:

Our client is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support product development and technology teams by translating complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements. This role partners closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to turn business objectives into structured documentation that supports successful solution delivery.


This role is fully remote. Applicants must reside in Oregon and report onsite 2 times annually.


Business Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and research.
  • Translate business needs into structured artifacts such as user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data mappings.
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, architects, and QA teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support software delivery by assisting with test case creation, coordinating user acceptance testing, and validating that solutions meet business objectives.
  • Develop supporting documentation including release notes, workflow diagrams, and training materials for internal stakeholders.


Business Analyst Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience working in a Business Analyst, Product Owner, Project Manager, or similar role supporting software or technology initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to clearly define and document functional requirements.
  • Experience working within software development environments, preferably using Agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders while translating complex needs into actionable documentation.
  • Proficiency with process mapping, workflow documentation, data analysis, and functional testing practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong facilitation and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools (such as Copilot or generative AI) to enhance documentation, analysis, or testing activities is a plus.
