Senior Network Engineer

What will your responsibilities be?

• Design and implement scalable LAN, WAN, and WLAN network architectures.

• Deploy, configure, and maintain firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Check Point) to protect network perimeters and data assets.

• Experience managing next-generation firewalls, including policy creation, NAT, VPN, and IDS/IPS.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance, security, and reliability.

• Collaborate with IT leadership and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Evaluate and recommend networking products, services, and standards to ensure future-proof architectures.

• Configure, deploy, and manage network routers and switches from leading vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, and Arista.

• Monitor network performance using tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, or similar solutions.

• Provide technical support and guidance to helpdesk staff, system administrators, and non-technical users as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering with a focus on routing, switching, and firewall administration.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, and core routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP).

• Proficiency with configuring and troubleshooting enterprise-grade routers and switches (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista).

• Experience managing next-generation firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.), including policy creation, NAT, VPN, and IDS/IPS.

• Skilled in network analysis, monitoring, and diagnostic tools.

• Familiarity with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL, DMVPN)

• Ability to participate in on-call rotations and respond to network emergencies after hours if required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCIE or Juniper JNCIE or Arista ACE L7 certification, or equivalent.

• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.

• Knowledge of automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.) for network configuration management.

• Previous experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance) with compliance requirements.
