About the Role
We're looking for a skilled Network Support Engineer (L2/L3) to join our growing team, supporting Australian ISP and MSP clients remotely from Sri Lanka.
In this role, you'll become part of our clients' day-to-day network operations, providing technical support across enterprise and carrier-grade network environments. You'll work with leading networking technologies including Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet, while collaborating directly with Australian engineering teams.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex networking issues, working in a fast-paced MSP/ISP environment, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Working Mode: Remote
Working Hours: 4.30 AM – 1.30 PM (Sri Lankan Time)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2/3 technical support for network incidents and service requests.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet network infrastructure.
- Support broadband, fibre, NBN, business internet, VPN, and WAN connectivity services.
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN solutions.
- Support enterprise networking technologies including SD-WAN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, and STP.
- Perform firmware upgrades, configuration changes, and scheduled maintenance activities.
- Manage incidents and service requests through the client's ticketing platform while meeting agreed SLAs.
- Work closely with Australian-based engineers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Assist with onboarding new customer sites, including device provisioning, IP addressing, network configuration, and migration activities.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, network diagrams, incident records, and change logs.
- Participate in change management processes and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Network Support Engineer, NOC Engineer, or similar networking role.
- Experience supporting networks within an ISP, MSP, telecommunications, or enterprise IT environment.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches (IOS/IOS-XE).
- Working knowledge of Juniper Junos (EX and SRX series preferred).
- Experience configuring and supporting Fortinet FortiGate firewalls (FortiOS).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, and network security principles.
- Experience using ticketing systems such as ConnectWise, ServiceNow, Autotask, or similar.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with international teams.
