Job Description

Infrastructure Engineer | Linux, AWS & Hosting | B Corp Certified, Cloud Provider

  • £35,000–£42,000 salary (depending on experience)
  • Fully remote working (UK-based)

The Role

You’ll join a fast-growing cloud and hosting provider delivering bespoke infrastructure solutions to enterprise customers across hybrid and public cloud environments.

Operating at true 3rd line level, you’ll take ownership of complex technical incidents and see them through to resolution. This is a customer-facing role within a Managed Services team responsible for keeping business-critical systems online, from high-traffic websites to database-driven applications.

You won’t just escalate problems, you’ll solve them.

What They’re Looking For (Non-Negotiables)

  • Extensive Linux system administration experience
  • Experience in a hosting or Managed Service Provider environment
  • AWS support experience
  • Understanding of Networks

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Own incidents and service requests end-to-end in line with SLAs
  • Troubleshoot across Linux and Windows systems, networking, applications and cloud platforms
  • Support AWS-hosted workloads and hybrid cloud environments
  • Resolve performance issues, database queries and infrastructure bottlenecks
  • Support routine patching, maintenance and system updates
  • Manage firewalls, access queries and network-level issues
  • Proactively monitor infrastructure and respond to alerts
  • Document fixes, contribute to runbooks and improve operational processes
  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers to enhance automation and service reliability

The environment is primarily ticket-led with very low phone volume, giving you the space to investigate properly rather than firefight constantly.

You’ll be confident speaking directly with enterprise customers and comfortable operating as a senior escalation point.

What You’ll Work With

  • Linux system administration
  • AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Hybrid and private cloud platforms
  • Windows Server
  • Firewalls and networking infrastructure
  • Monitoring and alerting tools
  • ITIL-based service management processes
  • Bespoke customer-owned infrastructure environments
  • Terraform/Ansible

Why Join / Projects

You’ll be joining a well-established but scaling cloud services business with a strong technical reputation and a loyal enterprise customer base. The company designs and supports bespoke cloud environments rather than offering off-the-shelf solutions.

The culture is collaborative, technically strong and customer-first. Engineers are trusted to own problems, communicate clearly, and continuously improve how services are delivered.

With growth comes opportunity.

Employee Benefits

  • Pension contribution
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Training budget and certification support
  • Clear progression opportunities within a growing cloud team
