Job Description
Join a fast-growing cloud infrastructure team supporting large-scale private cloud environments. We are looking for a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer with strong Kubernetes, container, and Linux expertise, combined with solid software development capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations:
- Cluster and node provisioning
- 24/7 on-call rotation (approx. 1 day per week)
- OS and middleware updates
- Security compliance and risk analysis
- Midnight releases and monitoring
- Incident handling and operational documentation
Development:
- Design and proposal documentation (architecture diagrams, pros/cons analysis)
- Cluster and node automation
- OS and middleware auto-upgrades
- Self-healing and reliability engineering initiatives

User & Migration Support:
- Advanced technical support beyond standard user support scope
- Migration support from legacy platforms to private cloud
Environment:
- Private cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, bare metal, VM, containers)
- Languages: Go, Python, Groovy, Shell
- Automation: Ansible, in-house Go tools, Operator framework
- Monitoring: Prometheus, Cortex, Grafana, Kibana, Datadog, PagerDuty
- CI/CD: Jenkins
- Tools: JIRA, Confluence, Slack, MS Teams
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) – or ability to obtain within 3 months
- Experience developing web services using statically typed languages (Go, Java, C++, etc.)
- 3+ years of operations experience in a large enterprise environment
- Strong Kubernetes, container, and Linux troubleshooting expertise
- Experience operating large-scale systems (100+ servers)
- Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP) and distributed systems / HA architecture
- Experience leading projects
- Strong accountability and deadline-driven mindset

Salary: 7 to 10 Million JPY annually
