Azure DevOps Engineer

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate!

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for a hands-on Azure DevOps / Cloud Platform Engineer to own, automate, and optimize our cloud-hosted tooling. This is a critical role enabling smooth operations, compliance, and developer productivity across our Azure environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Own installation, maintenance, and support of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications in Azure

• Build, operate, and improve Azure DevOps pipelines and integrations
• Contribute Python scripts/services to automate controls, migrations, and housekeeping
• Drive compliance-by-default and security: RBAC, secrets management, artifact governance, vulnerability tooling
• Troubleshoot incidents, handle upgrades/migrations, and reduce operational toil through automation
• Collaborate closely with product teams to promote a DevOps mindset and great developer experience

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Strong Azure and Azure DevOps experience (Repos, Boards, Pipelines, Service Connections)
• Solid Python scripting for automation and integration (APIs, data handling, operational tooling)

• Proven experience administering cloud-hosted COTS apps (install, upgrade, HADR, backup)
• Linux fundamentals and shell scripting
• Git proficiency
• Nice-to-Have experience with Python frameworks: Django, Flask, FastAPI; Atlassian tooling experience (Jira, Confluence); Data center and cloud admin experience
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Proactive and eager to learn
• Collaborative and solutions-focused
