About the Role

We are seeking a senior-level Ruby on Rails Developer with strong full-stack capabilities to build, maintain, and scale production applications.

This role requires deep expertise in Ruby on Rails for backend systems and modern frontend frameworks (React / Next.js). The ideal candidate is highly autonomous, comfortable working in production environments, experienced with deployment pipelines, and capable of architecting scalable solutions.

You will collaborate closely with senior engineers while owning features end-to-end — from database design to frontend implementation and production deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

Full-Stack Development

• Develop and maintain production-grade features using:
• Ruby on Rails (backend services)
• React / Next.js (frontend interfaces)
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code
• Follow Rails conventions and best practices

Database & Performance Optimization

• Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas
• Improve query performance and indexing strategies
• Ensure data integrity and efficient data handling

Architecture & Collaboration

• Collaborate with senior developers to design and implement scalable solutions
• Participate in technical discussions and architectural planning
• Conduct code reviews and maintain high engineering standards

Deployment & DevOps

• Manage deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows
• Oversee production deployments
• Utilize Rails console and terminal operations for debugging and maintenance

Background Processing & Performance

• Design and maintain background job systems using Sidekiq
• Optimize asynchronous task handling for performance and scalability

AI-Enabled Development

• Integrate AI tools into development workflows to improve productivity
• Maintain code quality and security standards while leveraging AI assistance

Troubleshooting & Stability

• Diagnose and resolve production issues efficiently
• Ensure application stability and reliability
• Monitor system performance and proactively address bottlenecks

Requirements:

Core Technical Skills

• Proven production experience with Ruby on Rails
• Strong proficiency in React and Next.js
• Solid PostgreSQL design and optimization experience
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools in real workflows

Rails Ecosystem Expertise

• Experience with CI/CD and deployment pipelines
• Strong command of Rails console and terminal workflows
• Hands-on experience with Sidekiq or similar background job systems
• Deep understanding of Rails architecture and conventions

Professional Qualities
