Job Description

The Role

Natural Products Canada (NPC) is seeking a T-shaped Marketing Manager with 3–5 years of experience. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, you will be the tactical engine behind NPC’s event marketing, creative social media presence, and digital content execution.

You are someone who loves the doing—transforming high-level strategy into engaging social content, polished marketing assets, automated HubSpot workflows, and seamless event experiences. You bring creativity, structure, and follow-through, and you’re comfortable moving from concept to execution.

Key Responsibilities

Event Marketing & Logistics

Manage the full marketing lifecycle for in-person and virtual events, including building registration pages, drafting attendee communications, and coordinating with external vendors (venues, catering, AV, and virtual platforms).

Creative Social Media & LinkedIn Management

Own NPC’s LinkedIn presence with a strong emphasis on creative, audience-driven content. You will plan and execute the content calendar, write compelling posts aligned with NPC’s brand voice, and actively engage with the community to grow reach and visibility across Canada’s bioeconomy.

Content Development & Storytelling

Develop marketing content across channels, including social media posts, visual assets, web content, presentations, and event materials. You will use content creation tools to translate complex innovation topics into clear, engaging, and visually compelling outputs.

HubSpot Marketing Execution

Execute email marketing campaigns and manage lead segmentation. Build and maintain automated workflows for event registrations, newsletters, and stakeholder communications.

Website & Vendor Liaison

Update and manage website content via WordPress. Act as a point of contact for external web developers, graphic designers, and other applicable vendors to keep projects on schedule and aligned with brand standards.

Regional Support

Support team by creating promotional materials, social media templates, and event assets for local ecosystem activities.

Reporting & Administration

Track campaign and event performance using HubSpot analytics and related tools. Manage contact lists, invitations, and reporting to support continuous improvement.

Experience and Skills Required

  • 3–5 years of experience in a generalist marketing or communications role
  • Creative Social Media Marketing: Proven ability to create engaging, audience-focused social content that drives visibility and engagement
  • Content Development Skills: Strong ability to develop written and visual content using content creation tools
  • HubSpot Proficiency: Hands-on experience with HubSpot (Marketing Hub), including lists, emails, and workflows
  • Event Experience: Experience coordinating physical events with vendors and managing virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams)

Technical Stack

  • WordPress (CMS)
  • Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Canva (intermediate level) for fast-turn visual assets
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to translate complex innovation topics into clear, concise copy

Mindset

  • T-shaped marketer: broad marketing knowledge with a strong execution bias
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple initiatives simultaneously

Assets

  • Bilingualism (English/French) is a strong asset
  • Familiarity with the bioeconomy, natural products, innovation, or entrepreneurship sectors

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Suitable home office for working 100% remotely within Canada
