About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic and fully remote team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including development, operations, and product management to implement best practices in cloud architecture, automation, and deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS services, container orchestration, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to own critical parts of our infrastructure, drive innovation, and contribute to the growth of our SaaS products from inception to production.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud computing and DevOps practices, with the following qualifications:

• Proven experience as an AWS DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, and Lambda.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and EKS.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Argo CD, or similar.
• Familiarity with deployment automation tools like Octopus Deploy or equivalent.
• Knowledge of GitOps principles and practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-focused mindset.
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities within a team environment.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Developing and managing CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid and reliable deployment of software updates.
• Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Managing containerized environments with Kubernetes and EKS, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Implementing GitOps workflows to streamline deployment processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing proactive solutions to prevent downtime.
• Collaborating with development teams to integrate infrastructure automation and deployment best practices.
• Ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices across all cloud and infrastructure components.
• Participating in planning and executing infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Staying current with emerging cloud technologies and DevOps trends to recommend improvements and innovations.
