Deployment Automation Engineer

About the Opportunity:

The organization is developing next-generation endpoint security for the Semantic Era, addressing challenges posed by AI agents and LLMs that render legacy signature-based defenses ineffective. The team is pioneering a shift from "known bad" detection to "contextual intent" understanding to enable enterprises to safely adopt AI productivity without risk. The platform monitors and protects critical global organizations and is backed by leading venture firms.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain deployment automation infrastructure, including packaging pipelines, update distribution, and orchestration tooling

• Manage MDM integrations via platforms such as Intune, Jamf, SCCM, and others

• Package and maintain installation artifacts for Windows (MSI/EXE) and macOS (PKG/DMG) ensuring broad compatibility

• Orchestrate customer onboarding through phased deployments from pilot to full production scale

• Troubleshoot complex production deployment issues and provide Tier 3 support

• Handle edge cases in legacy, air-gapped, security-restricted, and custom environments

• Optimize deployment performance by instrumenting pipelines and addressing bottlenecks

• Document deployment best practices including runbooks, guides, and knowledge base articles

• Collaborate with engineering teams to translate deployment feedback into product and automation improvements

Requirements:

• Deep hands-on expertise with MDM platforms including Microsoft Intune, Jamf Pro, SCCM, or equivalents

• Proficient in application packaging and troubleshooting installer frameworks for Windows and macOS

• Skilled in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, and infrastructure-as-code concepts

• Strong understanding of Windows and macOS internals, including process management and security mechanisms

• Experience with deployment automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Octopus Deploy

• Proven ability to debug complex issues in live environments under pressure using logs and diagnostics

• Solid networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, proxies, and certificate management

• Project management skills to handle multiple concurrent deployments effectively

• Effective communication with technical and non-technical customer IT teams
