About the Company
Our client is a high-growth, mission-driven startup re-industrialising the West. They build and operate software-defined factories that produce critical components for the aerospace, defense, and energy sectors.
Launched in 2024 by a founding team of ex-Palantir engineers and defense experts, they are scaling from 4 to 25 factories globally by the end of next year. They are building a proprietary operating system that orchestrates a massive network of production facilities and real-time factory automation—effectively bringing the "cloud" to the factory floor.

The Role
We are looking for a high-agency Full Stack Software Engineer (2–5 years exp) to join a founding-level team. This is a generalist role for an engineer who wants to see their code solve real-world physical problems. You won't just be building dashboards; you’ll be building the infrastructure that controls high-precision machine tools in real-time.
This is a flat hierarchy environment with no middle management. You will work directly with leadership and the production team to turn operational pain into impactful software products.
Responsibilities
- Architect and Develop: Build critical systems for factory automation, real-time data processing, and UX.
- Full-Stack Ownership: Take end-to-end responsibility for the software stack, from infrastructure and backend services to machine learning and frontend monitoring.
- Rapid Iteration: Work on the ground in the factories, deploying and iterating software that directly controls production.
- Mission-Critical Engineering: Lead projects from conception to deployment, ensuring fault-tolerant systems operate in high-stakes environments.
- Scale the Network: Optimize machine tool utilization and help orchestrate a rapidly growing network of distributed factories.

What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 Years Experience: Exceptional track record at a Tier-1 VC-backed startup or top-tier engineering firm (e.g., Palantir, Tesla, SpaceX, or similar).
- Technical Stack: Strong hands-on skills in TypeScript, React, Postgres, and AWS.
- UX Preference: A slight preference for candidates with strong UX/Frontend experience who can simplify complex industrial workflows.
- High Agency: A pragmatic, "founder-mindset" engineer who works independently and moves with extreme speed.
- Mission Alignment: Deeply motivated by the mission to reinvigorate Western manufacturing and sovereign capability.
- On-site Commitment: Willingness to work 5 days a week on-site in London to collaborate directly with the hardware and production teams.
