The Mission

The Software Engineer, AI will explore and own new 0 to 1 product opportunities at the intersection of AI and marketing. This role blends backend engineering, data systems, and applied AI to prototype, validate, and launch new LLM-powered capabilities that transform raw customer data into actionable insight and content.

What You’ll Work On

● Take ownership of identifying and validating new AI-driven product opportunities within the marketing domain.

● Build early experiments and foundational infrastructure leveraging LLMs and lightweight ML models.

● Prototype and ship new AI-powered features rapidly in close collaboration with executive leadership.

● Evaluate different AI methodologies and determine where various LLM approaches are most effective within production systems.

● Contribute to the development of an AI agent functioning as an automated data scientist and marketer.

● Design systems that uncover unique insights, translate them into marketing opportunities, and generate high-quality content.

● Build capabilities to identify high-propensity users, churn risks, and performance optimization signals.

● Partner cross-functionally to turn complex customer data into scalable AI-powered workflows.

What We’re Looking For

● 4 to 12 years of software engineering experience with a strong product-first mindset.

● Experience building and scaling AI or ML-driven products in production environments.

● Strong backend engineering fundamentals and comfort working with data-intensive systems.

● Hands-on experience with LLMs and applied machine learning techniques.

● Ability to move quickly in ambiguous 0 to 1 environments with high ownership and accountability.

● Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with senior leadership.

● Growth mindset, creativity, and motivation to define the future of AI-powered marketing.

● Based in the San Francisco Bay Area with ability to visit the office occasionally.
