About The Role
As a Staff Frontend Software Engineer at Harvey, you will play a critical role in shaping the core of our product platform while directly developing user-facing features for top-tier law firms and enterprise clients. Your responsibilities will include designing and maintaining the platform infrastructure that ensures secure, reliable, and flexible user experiences, including notifications, permissions, feature flag systems, and document management integrations. You will lead initiatives to build enterprise-grade collaboration tools such as secure multi-party workflows, cross-organizational processes, and comprehensive administrative controls. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of deep platform architecture and hands-on product development, impacting how users interact with Harvey’s AI-driven legal tools. Based in Toronto, Canada, this role follows a hybrid work model with three or more days in the office per week and offers relocation assistance for new hires eager to join our innovative team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of frontend-focused software engineering experience, preferably within platform or product teams
- Proficiency in designing and shipping user-facing features with measurable impact
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, REST/gRPC APIs, databases, and scalable service architectures
- Familiarity with enterprise SaaS patterns such as role-based access control (RBAC), feature flag systems, and third-party integrations
- Proven track record of delivering highly intuitive and user-centric products
- Excellent programming skills and solid foundation in Computer Science principles
- Experience working across the full technology stack is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of security, privacy, and system reliability
