Newtron, Beaumont is creating a dedicated position within our home office management team to support our dedication to excellence and a culture of quality. The Beaumont Quality Manager will assist the NGI Director of Quality in the continuous improvement effort in the development of the Quality Management Plan and is responsible for its implementation in the Beaumont organization by: validating QM processes; identifying needed improvements; training employees to the highest technical and professional standards; and bolstering Quality Culture with all management and employees.

The candidate should have a willingness to spend a high percentage of their time in the field as needed to complete objectives or resolve project issues.
Management Responsibilities:
- Lead role in recruiting and developing Field Quality Managers and Inspectors for the Beaumont operations.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with all Quality and Supervision resources and mentor and provide leadership to Field Quality Managers
- Train employees in latest technologies for cable testing, meter usage, cable pulling, and other technical activities.
- Work with site Quality Managers to establish a Site-Specific Quality orientation on existing sites and new projects prior to the start of work.
- Audit ongoing projects to ensure compliance with our Quality requirements and protocols.
- Participate in kick-off meetings and provide front end support for set up of large projects to ensure Site-Specific Quality plans are established and accepted by the client.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to ensure we are keeping up with changes to Codes, Standards and Regulations
- Implement a Quality Training program for Quality professionals and field supervisors.
- Support the Estimating Department with preliminary Site-Specific Quality plans as needed.
- Interface and build trusting relationships with all team members, General Manager, Director of Quality, other Regional Quality Managers, and clients.
- Help the leadership team understand any Values Survey issues that may exist within the Quality department.
- Represent the Company in a positive and professional manner on and off the job.
- Report Quality Issues/Concerns to NGI Director of Quality Management and work collaboratively to improve the Quality Program.

Requirements:
- 4-year college degree and a total of 5 years of quality programs implementation
or
- Minimum of 10 years of craft experience with 5 years of quality programs implementation
- Minimum of 5 years of experience directly relating to the supervision of quality functions dealing with procurement and construction activities
- In-depth knowledge of the National Electric Code and NFPA 70e electrical standards
- Knowledge of our Quality Assurance Program and Quality Control Procedures and ability to implement the quality system throughout the Beaumont operation
- Must possess general industrial and commercial construction knowledge.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial / heavy commercial electrical and instrumentation processes and industry standards of “workmanship like manner” per the NEC
- Experience with large projects with significant Quality requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts in simplistic terms.
- Strong organizational skills and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team as projects dictate.
- High proficiency in Microsoft System tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Bi-lingual / Spanish speaking preferred but not mandatory
