General Description
We are supporting a leading technology organization based in the UAE and are seeking an experienced QA Test Automation Expert to join their team on a contract basis.
This role is fully delivery-focused and requires a hands-on automation engineer who can start automating test cases from Day 1. The successful candidate will work closely with development teams to build and maintain automated test frameworks, particularly across data-driven systems and cloud-based environments.
You will play a key role in ensuring quality, reliability, and performance of applications and data pipelines within an Azure-based ecosystem, working in a fully remote setup aligned to UAE working hours.
This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on QA Automation Engineer with strong Selenium and JUnit experience, who thrives in a contract environment and is comfortable working independently within a distributed team.
This is a 6-month remote contract role aligned to UAE working hours (Full Day Schedule).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium and JUnit.
- Automate functional, regression, and integration test cases from Day 1.
- Validate and test data pipelines to ensure data integrity, transformation accuracy, and performance.
- Work closely with developers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform API, backend, and database-level testing where required.
- Ensure automation coverage across application and data layers.
- Identify defects, track issues, and support resolution cycles.
- Continuously improve automation scripts for scalability and maintainability.
- Work within an Azure-based environment, supporting cloud-native applications and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams while working UAE business hours remotely.

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in QA Automation Engineering (4–8+ years preferred).
- Proven expertise in Selenium (WebDriver).
- Strong experience with JUnit.
- Experience testing Data Pipelines and data-driven systems.
- Exposure to or experience working within Microsoft Azure environments.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of software testing lifecycle (STLC).
- Experience in backend and/or API testing.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, delivery-focused contract role.
- Comfortable working full UAE business hours remotely.
