Senior Data Scientist

We're looking for a seasoned Data Scientist to lead our cross-location team. In this role, you'll drive the development of Data Science excellence across the region and dive into diverse projects like NLP/LLM, Computer Vision, Time Series, and more.

This position offers remote setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Georgia, whether it's your home, well-equipped offices in Tbilisi and Batumi or a coworking space in Kutaisi.

Responsibilities

• Shape AI/ML-driven solutions' technology vision with EPAM's clients and teams
• Propose strategies to address business challenges
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business value to our clients
• Stay updated with the latest Data Science and AI advancements
• Mentor and develop Data Science competency
• Lead strategic initiatives within AI and Data Science
  
  

Requirements

• 6+ years of Data Science / Machine Learning production experience

• Proficiency in at least two of these domains: Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning Engineering, Computer Vision, Time Series or Recommendation Systems
• Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Azure
• Expertise in Deep Learning
• Programming skills, preferably in Python
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• B2+ English, both verbal and written

• Track record in working with clients from the Middle East region
