What you will do:
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines leveraging AWS cloud services to process and integrate diverse data sources, including social media feeds and structured datasets.
- Implement and optimize Kubernetes-based container orchestration to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficient resource usage across data workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore and enable AI/LLM-based natural language query capabilities on top of existing data infrastructure.
- Investigate and propose solutions for vectorization and data enrichment to support downstream analytics and machine learning models.
- Ensure compliance with legal and data governance policies.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and data science teams to define data structures, segmentation strategies, and enrichment approaches.
- Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance, ensuring high availability, quality, and accuracy of data delivered to stakeholders.
- Document architecture, workflows, and best practices to support long-term maintainability and scalability.
What you will bring:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a track record of building robust data pipelines in AWS environments (e.g., S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, EMR).
- Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes orchestration, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring of containerized workloads.
- Familiarity with LLMs, vector databases, and AI/ML frameworks, with the ability to integrate them into data engineering workflows.
- Strong programming skills in Python with experience in building modular, reusable, and efficient code.
- Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehouse design.
- Ability to manage structured and unstructured data sources (including APIs and third-party feeds like Factiva).
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks, preferably in regulated industries.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity in data structures, customer segmentation, and enrichment strategies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across engineering, product, and compliance teams.
