Working with the CLC offers an unparalleled opportunity to contribute directly to the aspirations of Central Australian Aboriginal peoples while experiencing one of the most unique environments in Australia.

As one of the largest employers in Central Australia, the CLC is respected nationally and internationally for its advocacy, land management, community development and cultural governance work. Employees describe their work experience as ‘professionally transformative and personally unforgettable’.

Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Services, the Manager, Human Resources leads the CLC’s HR, payroll, WHS, training and development functions while providing strategic guidance across all facets of people and culture management. Key responsibilities include:

  • leading, coaching and developing the HR team;
  • delivering effective recruitment, remuneration, performance management, learning and development, WHS and HR systems;
  • providing expert advice on legislation, enterprise agreements, industrial relations and organisational policy;

The position will suit a resilient, values‑driven HR leader with relevant tertiary qualifications and broad generalist HR experience, supported by well‑developed leadership capability, strong communication and advisory skills, and sound analytical, compliance and policy development expertise. Experience in remote or cross‑cultural settings will be highly regarded but is not essential. Ideally, you will demonstrate adaptability, initiative and the emotional intelligence and agility required to operate effectively in a fluid and culturally responsive environment.
