This role is an exciting opportunity for a skilled DevSecOps / Python Engineer to contribute to a fast-paced, innovative cybersecurity team supporting critical infrastructure projects. You will work remotely with a focus on automating security processes, developing Python-based tools, and enhancing CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments. Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate security processes, tool integration, and server configuration.
- Enhance and automate CI/CD pipelines and environments, including Jenkins and AWS integrations.
- Implement security controls and automation within cloud environments, including AWS APIs.
- Build and manage auto-provisioning and auto-scaling of security infrastructure.
- Integrate and maintain Elastic Stack/ELK clusters, including Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
- Collaborate with teams to develop security enhancements, monitor system hardening, and implement blue team defenses.
- Provide technical guidance and support to improve the overall cybersecurity posture of the organization.

- 5+ years of IT experience, with at least 6 years of Python development on Linux/UNIX platforms.
- 4+ years of AWS experience with automation and API integration.
- 2+ years of Jenkins (or similar CI/CD) experience and solid understanding of CI/CD processes.
- Strong knowledge of security engineering, including SIEM integration, firewall rules, and IPS policies.
- Experience with systems administration on Windows and Linux/UNIX, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing protocols), and source code management tools such as Git/GitHub.
- Familiarity with JavaScript and Ruby scripting is preferred.
- Experience managing Elastic Stack deployments and clusters.
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience (8+ years IT experience without degree).
- Competitive salary range: $140,000–$155,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
