ASSOCATE CREATIVE DIRECTOR – Copywriter background
We are looking for an Associate Creative Director (ACD Copy) to join our creative team in Budapest. This is a senior copy leadership role for a creative who combines exceptional craft with strong creative direction—and who is ready to take ownership of ideas, people, and creative output across international, high-profile brands.
As an ACD Copy, you will operate as a hands-on creative leader: shaping concepts, elevating execution, mentoring copy talent, and partnering closely with Art Directors, Strategists, and the Creative Director to deliver impactful, integrated campaigns—from social-first ecosystems to global TVCs.
What You’ll Do
Creative & Conceptual Leadership
- Lead copy and conceptual direction for integrated, multi-channel campaigns (social, digital, film, TVC)
- Translate strategy into strong creative platforms, territories, and storytelling systems
- Ensure creative excellence and consistency from idea through final execution
- Act as a creative sparring partner to the Creative Director
- Mentor, guide, and review work from Copywriters and Senior Copywriters
- Set, protect, and raise quality benchmarks for copy and storytelling
- Foster a collaborative, ambitious, and creatively rigorous team environment
- Actively elevate the creative output of the wider creative department
- Partner closely with Art Directors, Strategy, Account, and Production teams
- Present, sell, and defend ideas internally and with clients
- Participate in shoots, key production moments, and senior creative discussions
- Build trust with clients through confident and thoughtful creative leadership

- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an ACD Copy (or equivalent senior copy leadership role)
- Native or near-native proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese or Portuguese, combined with strong cultural understanding of the Brazilian market.
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Advanced copywriting across social, digital, film, and TVC
- Creative concepting and platform thinking
- Strong agency background with international experience
- Proven experience leading integrated campaigns across multiple channels
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, lead, and elevate other creatives
- Natural leadership and mentorship mindset
- High creative standards and a strong point of view
- Strategic thinking paired with hands-on execution
- Strong ownership, accountability, and collaboration skills
- Experience working on award-winning campaigns and familiarity with European markets and global brand structures are considered as an advantage
- Open to relocation to Budapest
