About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Manual QA Tester to join our dynamic QA team, focusing on our Mobile platforms. As a vital member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for validating the functionality, usability, and stability of our mobile applications used by construction professionals daily. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, and Design to ensure that every feature meets our high-quality standards before release. Your role involves creating detailed test plans, executing manual tests on various devices and emulators, identifying bugs, and collaborating with automation engineers to enhance testing processes. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability of our mobile apps, which are mission-critical for our customers’ success on the job site.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working as a QA tester, engineer, or analyst in a software development environment
- Proven experience in executing test cycles, reporting results, and documenting failures
- Strong understanding of QA best practices including test coverage, exploratory testing, and edge case identification
- Excellent communication skills with keen attention to detail
- Hands-on experience working within Scrum teams and agile methodologies
- Experience testing mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms using tools such as Android Studio and XCode
- Familiarity with testing on emulators and real devices
- Ability to develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Experience with manual testing techniques and defect tracking tools such as TestRail

Responsibilities
- Own the QA validation process for features developed during each sprint for Fieldwire’s Mobile platforms
- Create, update, and maintain detailed test cases and test plans to improve test coverage
- Execute manual tests on various mobile devices and emulators, documenting results and defects accurately
- Collaborate closely with Mobile development teams to understand feature requirements and testing needs
- Identify, document, and prioritize bugs or regressions, ensuring timely resolution before release
- Participate in planning sessions, contribute to release sign-off decisions, and ensure quality standards are met
- Work with automation engineers to identify test cases suitable for automation and support the development of automated regression tests
- Assist in establishing and refining testing best practices within the engineering team
- Explore new features and functionalities to ensure robustness and usability of the mobile applications
