Key Responsibilities

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Engineer, Test Automation based in United States.

This role focuses on building and advancing the test automation foundation behind a regulated healthcare technology platform.

You will design reliable automation frameworks, strengthen software quality practices, and help teams deliver secure, compliant products.

The position combines deep technical expertise with a quality-first mindset, supporting modern engineering workflows in a highly regulated environment.

You will work closely with engineering and product teams to embed testing earlier in the development lifecycle and improve delivery confidence.

The role offers the opportunity to explore AI-powered testing approaches, expand automation coverage, and reduce manual testing efforts.

Accountabilities

As a Senior Engineer, Test Automation, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and evolving automation strategies that ensure software reliability, compliance, and scalability. You will partner with engineering teams to integrate quality practices throughout development while helping improve testing efficiency and technical standards.

  • Build, maintain, and enhance end-to-end test automation frameworks using Playwright across UI, API, and integration testing layers.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings strong software engineering fundamentals, extensive experience in test automation, and the ability to operate effectively within a regulated technology environment. You should be comfortable building scalable testing solutions, collaborating across teams, and communicating technical concepts clearly.

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, QA engineering, or test automation, with significant hands-on automation experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Playwright and experience creating reliable, maintainable automation frameworks.
  • Experience supporting regulated software environments, including GxP validation practices, traceability documentation, and validation reporting.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as 21 CFR Part 11, GCP, or similar standards.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered testing tools, LLM-assisted test generation, or intelligent debugging approaches.
  • Strong programming and engineering skills, with the ability to read production code, troubleshoot complex issues, and build effective testing infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain quality strategies, risks, and technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
