Job Description

Director of Product Management

100% Remote

Salary: 125k-145k base salary + generous benefit package and other perks

We are seeking a Director of Product who can turn bold vision into real outcomes while helping build and shape a brand‑new product organization. Reporting directly to the VP of Product, this leader will operationalize product strategy and translate high‑level vision into clear priorities, actionable plans, and high‑impact execution across a growing suite of consumer‑facing products, including a new grocery e‑commerce platform.

This role requires someone who can bridge strategy and delivery: someone who understands the “why,” defines the “what,” and leads teams to deliver the “how.” You will partner closely with engineering, design, analytics, marketing, and other cross‑functional teams to build powerful experiences that improve acquisition, engagement, and retention across multiple channels.

The ideal candidate brings deep e‑commerce expertise, strong understanding of API‑driven systems, microservices, and modern platform architecture, along with the ability to scale complex digital products. You will help shape the roadmap, refine operational practices, and establish the structures needed to support a newly forming, high‑performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Alignment

  • Translate long‑term product vision into a clear, structured, and prioritized roadmap.
  • Convert strategic direction into actionable execution plans that balance innovation, technical feasibility, and user value.
  • Communicate data‑driven rationale and expected outcomes to ensure alignment across leadership and cross‑functional partners.

Execution & Delivery

  • Own end‑to‑end delivery of high‑priority initiatives across web, mobile, email, and emerging channels.
  • Lead disciplined product development practices : road mapping, requirements definition, sprint planning, QA, release management, and post‑launch analysis.
  • Ensure strong collaboration with engineering, design, analytics, and marketing.
  • Oversee the development and scaling of a grocery e‑commerce platform within a broader digital ecosystem.

User & Market Insight

  • Use behavioral data, research, experimentation, and market insights to inform decisions.
  • Challenge assumptions and uncover meaningful customer needs.
  • Translate insights into product opportunities and measurable improvements, with an emphasis on e‑commerce behavior and optimization.

Team Leadership

  • Build, manage, and mentor a team of product managers within a newly developing product organization.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Assess team structure, capacity, and opportunities for role clarity or expansion.

Operational Excellence

  • Establish scalable, repeatable processes that improve predictability, quality, and execution speed.
  • Introduce systems and operational structures that support a scaling product organization.
  • Ensure strong prioritization, resource alignment, and risk management across initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years leading cross‑functional product teams from concept through launch, ideally in consumer‑facing e‑commerce environments.
  • 4+ years managing product managers or multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Proven success operationalizing executive‑level strategies into structured execution plans.
  • Deep experience with e‑commerce, API architecture, microservices, and platform‑level systems.
  • Track record of driving measurable growth through technology and product innovation.
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, design, analytics, marketing, and operations.
  • Ability to synthesize complex inputs into clear product direction.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills.
  • Strong organizational problem‑solving and process‑design capabilities.
  • History of building high‑performing, accountable, and growth‑oriented product teams.
