Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. DevOps Engineer (AWS / Terraform) based in the United States.
This role sits at the core of a high-throughput DevOps function supporting a healthcare technology platform operating on AWS. You will be responsible for managing the continuous flow of infrastructure-related work coming from multiple engineering teams, ensuring requests, fixes, and reviews are executed quickly and accurately. The position is highly operational and execution-focused, centered on Terraform-driven infrastructure, PR reviews, and resolving day-to-day platform issues rather than long-term architecture ownership. You will work embedded within an Agile scrum team, collaborating closely with engineers to unblock deployments, stabilize environments, and maintain system reliability. This is a fast-paced, interrupt-driven environment where responsiveness, precision, and strong AWS fundamentals are critical. It is ideal for an experienced DevOps engineer who enjoys hands-on problem-solving and keeping complex cloud systems running smoothly.
Accountabilities
- Manage incoming infrastructure change requests, including Terraform-based updates and PR reviews
- Review, validate, and apply infrastructure changes using PR-driven IaC workflows (e.g., Terraform/Atlantis)
- Support engineering teams by troubleshooting CI/CD pipeline failures and deployment issues
- Handle operational fixes across non-production environments and resolve infrastructure-related bugs
- Respond to and triage infrastructure alerts using monitoring tools such as Datadog
- Perform AWS operational tasks including IAM changes, ECS updates, S3 configurations, and Parameter Store management
- Maintain and optimize infrastructure resources through right-sizing, cleanup, and lifecycle management
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and ticket execution
- Document fixes, create runbooks, and contribute to operational knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to unblock delivery and maintain platform stability
