We’re partnering with a well-established software company undergoing a major transformation and looking for a Senior FinOps Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the company’s cloud cost strategy and have a tangible impact on its future.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll be the FinOps SME, building internal tooling, automating processes, and guiding teams to make smarter, data-driven decisions. You’ll work closely with engineering, finance, product, and architecture teams, influencing strategy while remaining deeply involved in delivery.

What you’ll do:

• Act as the FinOps subject-matter expert, setting standards for cost governance and optimisation.
• Build internal tools and automation to collect, analyse, and visualise cloud cost and usage across Azure and AWS.
• Partner with engineering teams to optimise cloud spend and ensure cost-efficient architectures.
• Identify and prioritise improvement opportunities across the cloud estate.
• Innovate in cost modelling, forecasting, reporting, and automation.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to define strategy, governance, KPIs, and processes.
• Promote best practices and a culture of financial accountability.
