Join the Vanguard of Humanity's Greatest Adventure
At elseco, we don't just insure rockets, we ignite the stars. As a high-tech specialty insurance underwriting group and Lloyd’s Coverholder, we collaborate with over 50 global insurers and reinsurers to unleash capital for the space economy. Our cutting-edge Insurtech platform, ATOM 3.0, leverages big data, AI analytics, and real-time modeling to de-risk bold projects, from satellite fleets to lunar outposts. The space industry's $1.4 trillion valuation signals the surge: the sector could hit $1.8 trillion by 2035, revolutionizing connectivity, climate solutions, and exploration. This frontier requires visionary minds to conquer threats like technical breakdowns, debris collisions, cyber attacks, and geopolitical risks.
As a Space Engineering Specialist you'll architect cross-disciplinary bridges: spanning engineering, finance, law, and insurance to protect and propel worldwide space breakthroughs.
The role is based in our headquarter in DIFC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role requires a mandatory base location in Dubai for the first 3 years, with the opportunity for internal mobility thereafter, including potential relocation to our London office or other future elseco locations globally.

- Investigate failures and anomalies, quantify impacts, and support rapid claims assessments.
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and underwriters to design innovative risk solutions for constellations, space tourism, and deep-space projects.
- Develop proprietary data and AI models to forecast risks and optimize mitigation strategies.
- Represent elseco at conferences and technical forums, sharing insights and advancing thought leadership in space risk.
- Partner worldwide with engineers, lawyers, bankers, and data experts to craft innovative insurance products that reduce risks and draw investments for constellations, tourism, and deep-space endeavors.
- Promote elseco at global conferences, roadshows, and alliances creating thought-leadership content to influence the sector.
- Fuel strategic expansion: From instant underwriting flows to novel offerings like constellation catastrophe protections, position us as the essential ally for space enterprises globally.
