Job Title: Senior Security Architect

Location: Pontiac, MI (Hybrid)

Overview

The Application Security Architect is responsible for securing enterprise information systems by defining security requirements and designing, implementing, and validating security solutions across on-premises, disaster recovery (DR), and cloud environments. This role is focused on application security and DevSecOps, partnering closely with software development teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

• Determine enterprise security requirements and design, implement, and test security systems.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce security standards, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
• Architect security solutions by evaluating network and application security technologies.
• Define and support security requirements for LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, and related network/security devices.
• Design and implement Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions, including certification authorities (CAs), digital certificates, and digital signatures.
• Ensure secure architectures across on-premises, remote/DR, and cloud environments.
• Lead application security and DevSecOps initiatives, including:
• Secure SDLC practices
• CI/CD pipeline security integration
• Threat modeling, vulnerability management, and code security scanning
• Work directly with software development teams to provide security guidance and hands-on support.
• Enhance team capabilities by delivering solutions, answering technical questions, improving processes, and mentoring team members.
  
  

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience in Application Security and/or DevSecOps architecture.
• Demonstrated success supporting and collaborating with software development teams.
• Strong knowledge of secure application design principles and common vulnerabilities.
• Experience with network and application security architecture.
• In-depth understanding of PKI, cryptography, and certificate management.
• Experience operating in hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud).
