Role Overview

We are looking for an AI Automation & System Engineer to design, build, and maintain the internal systems that power our operations. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, automation, and business systems, with a strong focus on reducing manual work, improving data flow, and creating scalable internal tools.

This is not a machine learning research role. Instead, it is for someone who enjoys building practical systems, connecting tools through APIs, and delivering solutions that materially improve how the business runs.

We are open to both:

  • Highly experienced engineers using cutting-edge AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Replit, etc.), or
  • Less experienced but highly driven builders with strong portfolios and proven ability to create real, valuable systems.

Core Responsibilities (Software + Automation)

  • Design, develop, and maintain internal software tools supporting operations, compliance, and reporting
  • Build and manage automated workflows across CRM, project management, finance, and data systems
  • Integrate platforms using APIs, webhooks, and middleware tools
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining production-grade standards
  • Support the development of centralized reporting engines and data pipelines
  • Ensure automation logic is secure, auditable, well-documented, and maintainable
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, and leadership to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Continuously identify opportunities to eliminate repetitive manual work through automation

Technical Requirements

  • Experience building internal tools, scripts, or automation systems
  • Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, and system integrations
  • Ability to design logical workflows and data pipelines
  • Comfort working across multiple systems and tools simultaneously
  • Experience with at least one backend or scripting language (JavaScript, Python, etc.)
  • Familiarity with databases, data transformations, and reporting systems
  • Strong documentation habits and attention to system reliability

What This Role Is NOT

(This is intentional and important.)

  • ❌ Machine learning or AI model training
  • ❌ Prompt-only experimentation
  • ❌ Consumer-facing mobile or web apps
  • ❌ IT help desk or infrastructure operations

This role focuses on building internal systems that run the business.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • High-level critical thinker who can deliver against an objective—not just check boxes
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and turning vague problems into concrete systems
  • Curious, open-minded, and hungry to learn new tools and approaches
  • Builder mindset: has created something valuable (software tools, automations, websites, products, creative projects, etc.)
  • Strong ownership mentality and ability to work independently
  • Able to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders
