About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Business Data Analyst to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will own and develop the unit economics analytics domain, focusing on building and maintaining reliable data foundations for key financial metrics such as margin, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and return on investment (ROI). You will lead a team of three analysts, guiding them to deliver high-quality insights that support strategic and operational decision-making across the company. Your expertise will ensure that business units have access to consistent, accurate, and actionable analytics, enabling informed decisions that drive growth and profitability. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence core business strategies through advanced data analysis, innovative data architecture, and effective stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a fintech, SaaS, or technology environment
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, particularly with ClickHouse or similar high-performance databases
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or equivalents
  • Expertise in data visualization tools like Apache Superset or similar platforms
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis, scripting, and automation
  • Experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) for building analytical data models is a plus
  • Excellent leadership skills with prior experience managing a team of analysts
  • Strong understanding of unit economics, financial metrics, and business KPIs
  • Ability to design scalable data architectures and develop methodologies for business metrics
  • Outstanding communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and optimize analytical data pipelines that underpin unit economics analytics
  • Design and evolve a robust, scalable data architecture across multiple domains including product, financial, and operational data
  • Develop and formalize methodologies for key business metrics such as LTV, CAC, and product margins in collaboration with finance and business units
  • Ensure data consistency and alignment across dashboards and systems, establishing a single source of truth for core metrics
  • Monitor and enhance the quality and completeness of revenue data used in analytics and financial reporting
  • Collaborate with finance and product teams to develop cost allocation frameworks and profitability analyses
  • Lead the analytics team in delivering insights that support strategic initiatives and pricing strategies
  • Design and oversee the creation of intuitive dashboards that communicate insights clearly and effectively to stakeholders
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering professional growth and maintaining high standards of data quality and analytical rigor
