Job Description

Kindred is a members-only home swapping network that unlocks the ability to live a travel-rich lifestyle through the power of community. By exchanging primary residences with trusted peers, renters and owners alike can match with Kindred spirits and explore new destinations without breaking the bank.

We are on a mission to build a sharing economy that lives up to the name, and we’ve raised significant capital from some of the best investors in Silicon Valley, including Index Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, New Enterprise Associates, Bessemer Venture Partners, Caffeinated Capital, Elad Gil, and the founders of Opendoor, Figma, ClassPass, Clubhouse, Divvy, Gem, and Homebound.

The co-founders are proven leaders from the early team at proptech company Opendoor ($15B+ exit) and have each separately built and scaled products that today do $1B+ annual revenue combined.

We’re looking for the world’s top builders, executors, and believers to join us on this ride.

You can learn more about us in Forbes and TechCrunch.

The Role:

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to help shape the future of travel. This is a high-impact, strategic role where you'll work closely with our co-founders and a full-stack team to solve complex, deeply human challenges—like how to make hosting your personal home feel natural, how to scale a community without compromising quality, and how to create systems that serve both sides of a marketplace.

We’re looking for someone with deep consumer intuition and empathy and an exceptionally user-centric approach to problem-solving. This is fast-paced, intellectually demanding, and emotionally meaningful work—with the potential to reshape how people travel and connect.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own and lead key areas of the core product experience (e.g. growth, search & discovery, hosting) with a team of 8-10 engineers
  • Design systems that build trust, balance marketplace dynamics, and drive measurable outcomes for both our members and the business
  • Lead 0→1 and 1→n initiatives across surfaces that require speed, creativity, and craft
  • Use data to size opportunities, uncover insights, and evaluate performance (both qualitative and quantitative)
  • Rigorously prioritize to focus the team on the highest-impact problems
  • Collaborate closely with design, engineering, data and other cross-functional partners to scope, build, and ship products
  • Champion product quality, simplicity, and craft
  • Deeply understand and advocate for member needs

You may be a right fit for this role if you:

  • Have 4+ years of product management experience, with at least some in consumer-facing products
  • Have led 0→1 product development and/or scaled products at a high-growth startup
  • Have a proven track record of driving measurable impact on key business metrics
  • Combine strategic product thinking with strong execution—able to move quickly without sacrificing quality
  • Have strong intuition for UX and user behavior and what makes a product feel exceptional
  • Are able to leverage qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions at every stage of the product lifecycle
  • Are energized by ambiguity and thrive in fast-paced, high-ownership environments
  • Care deeply about product polish, with a sharp eye for interaction design, visual design and product positioning
  • Operate with a founder mindset—proactive, resourceful, and not above rolling up your sleeves to make things happen
  • Bonus: experience working with consumer marketplace products
  • Bonus: experience working with mobile products

Our Benefits:

At Kindred, we know that good things happen when we look out for one another. We offer a thoughtful, human-first benefits package designed to support health, wellbeing, and connection.

Our openings may span more than one career level. The base salary offered depends on factors such as experience, transferable skills, business needs, impact, and market data.

  • Competitive cash compensation and equity
  • Comprehensive health benefits
  • Flexible time off, plus 12 paid holidays per year
  • 21 credits per year to stay in Kindred homes
  • $4,000 annual travel stipend to help offset travel-related costs
  • Remote-first and remote-flexible work environment, with opportunities to work from anywhere and gather in person, including at Kindred HQ in San Francisco
  • Regular team and company offsites to connect, collaborate, and build together
  • A vibrant, inclusive, and highly skilled team that ferociously protects team chemistry
  • A culture of high standards, feedback, and continual growth

We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all applicants and employees. Kindred does not discriminate on the basis of any protected characteristic, including race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, creed, age, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, medical condition, genetic information, family care or medical leave status, marital status, domestic partner status, military and veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by US federal, state or local laws, or the laws of the country or jurisdiction where you work. Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Compensation Range: $160K - $200K
